In the game Second Life, I play the avatar Juushika Redgrave.

After toying with concepts and shapes for some time, I've finally pulled together a male avatar that I'm happy with. It's definitely a chance to switch sexes, and it's raised some interesting questions about why we chose what avatar in Second Life and how closely we stick to it. My male av is very similar, in fact, to my female avatar—I kept neko characteristics, red hair, green eyes, and even the glasses. Changing sex, for me, was easier than changing so much as my cat parts.

Anyhow! I now have a boy avatar that I'm very happy with, and playing dress up is a lot of fun. Both are under the same name (Juushika Redgrave) so I can share inventories and change at will, which I expect I shall do a lot. I've already discovered that many of my hairs, purchased for a female avatar, work well on this male avatar—not pigtails, of course, but since I'm open to long hair, a lot of my inventory works well. If only it were so easy to pull of female shirts on a male avatar! Since I'm not doing (much) new shopping, male shirts are in short supply in my inventory.

This outfit is fairly simple, a basic starting place. The pants are from a women's outfit from Last Call, but translate well. The shirt is a men's shirt from Indigo, which wraps well around breasts, which is why I originally bought it. My avatar is slim and not too tall, so I've been able to fit into some women's shoes, including this pair from Shiny Things. The hair is from Kin, and has been modded to remove one bit of the bangs and to tint it a darker color. The glasses are my usual pair from Persenickety, but modded to make them larger and to remove the decorative gems. Finding the right skin took some time, but I'm very happy with Eloh Elliot's male skin—and I look forward to the time when I have Photoshop access again and can modify it myself.

Amina is making up for all the time that I have not let her in of late. So, here she whipped out another one: This one is based on a cow pattern. Comes for both sexes. Men get a more sombre khaki, women lavender and pink. Many different skirts, belts, attachments, some hilarious cow shoes (which Amina re-textured) - all topped off with the amazing Phillips Replacement anime hair, re-textured to fit the theme.
