Question by Adelka8: When will a pregnancy test show if I had sex on Dec 11, 2008?

Alright, here it goes. I am trying to get pregnant.. My last menstrual period was November 27, 2008.. My boyfriend and I had sex on Dec 11.. when will a pregnancy test show positive for me if I am pregnant? I had a negative blood test over a week ago but I think it was too soon then to test. Please help me.

Two weeks after ovulation is when you can take a pregnancy test. In the trying to conceive community, we call this the "two week wait" and it's the longest two weeks! Well, it seems like it until you ARE pregnant and then you're always waiting for something (ultrasound appointment, amnio results, AFP results...). So if you ovulated on or around Dec. 11, then you should be able to test for pregnancy on the 25th, which is today! But wait until your period is late and then you won't waste a test.
